Who We Are:
Sherlock’s Mystery Dinner Theatre® is a non-profit theatre company that operates out of Columbus, Georgia. Since 2008, Sherlocks has successfully produced over 11 shows in front of over 7,000 patrons. Sherlock’s scripts are written, produced, and directed primarily by Dr. Kate Musgrove and her husband, JJ Musgrove, both whom are theatre professionals and educators with over 40 years of experience between them. All productions are full scripted and use a two-actor format with 12-21 audience participation parts.

Flexibility of Casting:
Sherlocks’ scripts employ a two-actor format that allow groups maximum flexibility. Use only two actors to save on expenses or up to eight (in some scripts) to increase participation! Each script also contains 12-21 audience parts so that you can involve the whole crowd in your show.

Lower Rental Fees:
Sherlock’s rental fees are traditionally much lower than other companies around the U.S. offering similar services. This will save on your bottom line, especially if you are trying to put on a successful special event or fundraiser. Our standard rental rates are $100 for the first performance and $50 for each subsequent performance. Details will be discussed during the contract phase.

Content Not ‘R’ Rated:
The primary reason why Sherlocks decided to write their own scripts was because the majority of the available murder mystery dinner theatre plays contained excessive profanity, overtly sexual situations, and “bathroom” oriented humor. While this type of comedy is perfectly fine for a night club act, it isn’t consistently funny in all settings. Our shows have been successful because we maintain a ‘PG-13’ type of approach that appeals to people from all walks of life. Our jokes are timely, our adult references are clever, and our language is in keeping with the style.

Scripts Have Already Been Tested:
Each play has had multiple productions and been seen by hundreds of people. We know they are funny and would be a huge success for your fundraiser, special event, or even your own murder mystery dinner theatre company!
