Rearcous Smith, a cherished friend and an extremely gifted entertainer, passed away suddenly on April 21, 2009, in his sleep of pneumonia. He was 35 years old.

Rearcous performed in numerous plays and musicals throughout the south and was a professional entertainer for the past 12 years. Most recently Rea was seen in
Communicating Doors, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and BatBoy The Musical at CSU and in The Odd Couple, Smokey Joe's Cafe, The Member of the Wedding, Hamlet, and Big River at the Springer Opera House. For Sherlock’s Rearcous was seen in “Til Death Do Us Part” and “Dial ‘S’ For Santa”.

There are no words to describe the loss of this wonderful individual who made our lives worth living. Rearcous was a beacon of light, a provider of joy, and a constant reminder to live every day to it’s fullest. There will not be another of his kind, ever.

We dedicate the remainder of the 2009 Sherlock’s season to his memory.
