Sherlock’s Mystery Dinner Theatre was established in late 2007 to provide fun and interactive Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre events in the Columbus, GA, community. It had the name “Columbus Mystery Theatre” until it changed to “Sherlock’s” in 2009. Our current base of operation is the Historic Columbus Marriott Hotel in Uptown Columbus.

Sherlock’s is an official 501c3 Not-For-Profit Theatre. All contributions are tax deductible.

Sherlock’s is the doing business as moniker (d/b/a) of the Chattahoochee Theatre Ensemble (CTE). CTE was founded in 2005 and has had several successful productions including
I DO! I DO! at the former Human Experience Theatre and several children's theatre shows including The Brothers Wright at RiverCenter for the Performing Arts in 2005, and The Frog Prince and The Invisible Dragon for the Wonderful Wednesdays education program for The Columbus Museum in 2006.

MEET THE UNUSUAL SUSPECTS:
Producer/Director/Playwright - Dr. Kate Musgrove is a Professor of Theatre at Columbus State University. Kate received her B.A. in theatre from CSU before moving on to earning her MFA in Directing from the University of Virginia and her PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies/Directing at Texas Tech University. Kate has directed nearly 100 shows in both professional and academic settings in Georgia, Texas, Ohio, Iowa, and Virginia. Some of her favorite shows include Lonely Planet at Graceland University in Iowa, On The Verge at UVA (with Tina Fey), Keely and Du at Texas Tech, A Tuna Christmas at the Barter Theatre in Virginia (with John Hedges and Will Bigham), Edgar Allan Poe at Emory & Henry College in Virginia, and Dinner With Friends at the Springer Opera House in Georgia.

Producer/Director/Playwright - JJ Musgrove has acted in productions throughout the south and the midwest and holds a BA in theatre from Graceland University in Iowa and a MA in theatre from the University of Central Missouri. He has been seen at the Springer Opera House in Dinner With Friends, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, On Golden Pond, Man of La Mancha, and The Odd Couple. Some of his favorite roles have been “Rick” in The Nerd, “Benedick” in Much Ado About Nothing, “Danny” in Baby, “Gooper” in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof and “Austin/JJ” in The Complete History of America: Abridged. His one-act play :30 Minutes has been produced in Universities in Iowa, Missouri and Illinois and he brings his writing talents to the Murder Mystery Genre. He is currently the director of donor services at the Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley.

Actor - E.J. Cameron is a recent graduate of CSU and holds a BFA in theatre with a concentration in acting. Favorite past productions include The 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee, Cloud 9, Boy Gets Girl at CSU and Cinderella at the Springer Opera House. He is from Smyrna, GA, and is a proud graduate of Pebblebrook High School. E.J. was last seen in Sherlock’s production of A Red Carpet Murder during the fall of 2011 and is now performing in Sherlock’s production of Spy Games! from February 10 - March 31, 2012.

Actor - Caroline Garcia is a veteran of the Springer Opera House stage. Caroline is a proud alum of the Springer Theatre Academy and has been featured in such productions as The Diary of Anne Frank, Little Baby Snoogle-Fleejer, and Oliviatown. She has served in many capacities for Springer such as an actor and dresser as well as a variety of technical theatre roles. Caroline will be graduating from Columbus State University this spring with a degree in theatre and currently teaches at the Springer Theatre Academy. For Sherlock’s Caroline has been a house manager and a stage manager for past productions.

Stage Manager - Cherwanda (CJ) Jones
- graduated from CSU in 2006 with a B.B.A. in CISM & a minor in technical theatre. She freelances as a stage manager, lighting designer, theatrical electrician & carpenter. She served as a stage manager for CTE’s productions of The Brothers Wright, The Invisible Dragon, & The Frog Prince. CJ has also designed and built scenery for the Liberty Theatre and she was stage manager for Chattahoochee Shakespeare Company’s Measure for Measure. In addition, she served as a stagehand (electrician/props/lighting) for the Rivercenter and has recently been hired as their Lighting Designer/Technician. She also coordinates the Media Ministry at her church. She would like to thank her family for their infinite love & support.

Stage Manager - Samantha May
- is currently pursuing her BFA in Theatre Performance at Columbus State University. Some of her favorite roles include “Elizabeth Proctor” in The Crucible, “Theresa” in Boy Gets Girl, “Mel” in God’s Ear, and “Helena” in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This is her first time working with Sherlocks and is very thankful for the opportunity.

Actor - Cameron Bean
had his first theatre experience in his hometown of Charleston, SC, where at the age of 6, he performed in the Spoleto Festival. He received his bachelor’s of science in education degree in theatre education from Columbus State University in 2007, and most recently received his MBA from Columbus State University this past August. Some of his favorite roles include “Seymour Krelborn” in Little Shop of Horrors, “Detective Sergeant Trotter” in The Mousetrap, “Will Parker” in Oklahoma!, “Ethan Girard” in The Full Monty, and as himself in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged). Cameron has served as a Lead Teacher for the Junior Program at the Springer Theatre Academy and currently serves as Treasurer for the Georgia Theatre Conference. He is also a member of a comedy-based musical group called 4Guys. Cameron is currently the Director of Development for the Springer Opera House in Columbus, GA.

Actor - Adam Archer returned to Sherlock's in their 2009 production of Mafia Murders. Adam was last seen in the first production of Sherlock's Murder Myster Dinner Theatre An Inheritance of Murder. Adam is a graduate of Columbus State University where he earned his BSED in theatre. Since then Adam has performed in several shows at the Springer Opera House including The Big Friendly Giant; at the Rose of Athens Theatre in Athens, Georgia, in A Midsummer Night’s Dream; and also at The Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Virginia, and CLIMB Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Adam is currently enrolled in Chicago’s famous Second City Conservatory program in Chicago, IL.

Actor - Haley Rice has a BA in acting from UGA and a MFA in acting from Illinois State University. A student of dialects and improvisational comedy, Haley has appeared as "Lady Macbeth" at the Illinois Shakespeare Company, "Hermia" in A Midsummer Night's Dream and "Juliet" in Romeo and Juliet at The Arts Lane Theatre in Chicago, "Catherine" in The Foreigner and "Jody" in Quilters at the Vermont Stage, and as "Ginny" in Whom the Southern Belle Tolls for the Thalian Blackfriars. Most recently she has been featured at the Springer Opera House as "Lotty" in Enchanted April, "Janice" in The Member of the Wedding, and Lakebottom Proper. Haley continues to pursue acting as a career and is delighted to be in Columbus, dying over and over again.
